Don't expect a perfect sling - I received a well used and slightly rusted surplus sling that was covered in cosmoline. It actually cleaned up quite well and the OD green webbing is very sharp. The clasps / buckles / clips, whatever, had slight surface rust that I think a very light coat of grease will prevent from spreading. Good product overall but it is definitely a well used item.

Arrived as expected in surplus condition. No rust on parts, It did a cleaning with some detergent as it smelled like a old tent. Otherwise in great shape. Unfortunately, It will not work with my Riley defense AK47 Classic as it needs clips on both ends. I'll keep it though for future rifle purchase.
No rust on metal surfaces. Fabric was clean and in very good condition. Excellent value for the sale price.
I bought another Yugo sling to use for my new James River Armory Zastava M72B1 RPK full-length rifle with bipod. This new sling is longer than the last one. The canvas is new-looking condition, while the bluing on the tab is a bit faded, and buckle with some surface rust that was easily removed with gun oil. I tape up the excess material, so the faded blueing on the metal tab will be hidden anyway. Overall an authentic Yugo Kalashnikov sling for a great price.
These slings are a good deal. They need a little cleaning, but are in great shape otherwise. I'd am probably going to pickup a couple more.
My olive drab Yugoslavian sling looks and works great with my James River Armory Zastava M72B1 RPK carbine rifle. I use the sling as an accuracy aid, and it looks authentic with the M72B1 RPK carbine. Mine was in good condition (some rust spots from the metal), but yours might be in better condition.
