The pouch arrived in great condition and as far as I can tell had not been issued. The leather was very soft and supple. The pouch was flattened and folded over onto itself, probably from sitting years and a crate. I had to wet the letter and used folded up wash cloths to stuff the pouches until the leather dried and it would hold it shape again.
Over all they are good, some increased discoloration on the top flaps vs the rest of the body, but hey it’s old leather. Both snaps work, everything is intact. Had that great surplus stink too!
I ordered two pouches and they were not not good to excellent . They need to change the description on these items .
I am pleased with the product I just wish I could find some suspenders
Very heavy duty, doesn't seem to have ever been issued. Holds 4 loaded clips on each side comfortably.
