After browsing counterfeits on Amazon and Google, I decided to purchase a sling from a reputable seller. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. The sling showed no wear or oxidation other than a slight discoloration from where the leather piece had rested on the fabric for some time. My sling was stamped 1970 with a clear stamp. The sling really brings out the true Russian nature of my Vepr. I think I even heard it whisper, "Thanks, Comrade," after installation.
