Interesting surplus oil bottle with leather pouch to add to your kit if you like the old school stuff. It's a little dirty, but should clean up nicely.
I ordered two, one seems to be unissued and the other shows some wear. Both open and close well and have no damage. These things are very cool, I don’t know what I’d need any more for, but I definitely want a few more
My oil container was in great condition, did have what I believe to be egores blood inside of it but she cleaned up nice and it holds oil not just blood. Great buy I’m happy with it only 4 stars because nothings perfect especially surplus
Leather pouch is in quite nice condition and very nicely made. Snap closure is clean and sharp. Bottle is in excellent condition, light cosmoline, but not enough to muk up or stain the inside of the pouch seriously. Fits on the NC Star repro sling very snugly, but satisfactorily. Very happy!
Brand new old stock. The oiler was wrapped in paper and covered in cosmoline. There was some brass corrosion from age but it cleaned up very well. Pouch was in good shape and pretty supple.
Overall I like the product. The only thing was the green corrosion on the bottle. It cleaned up ok so I am happy with it.
Both the pouch and bottle are of course used, the bottle a bit more so. A fair portion of the brass plating has worn away and it was covered in something resembling blue-green Fun Dip. Nonetheless it's a great deal for $12 and I should have no problem finding a use for the pouch.
They are just as advertised; somewhat used but in good working order. I'd order again.
