Yugo AK upper handguard *Excellent*

Got this to replace walnut upper handguard on ZPAP after an unfortunate finishing accident. The wood came bone dry with a small ding. The outer surface milling was a little rough, with a bunch of narrow flats running the length if the handguard instead of an actual curve. The wood at the corners liked to split and splinter. Some sanding was required. The wood darkened and turned red a while after getting some coats of boiled linseed oil. I can't tell if this is the same wood that actual surplus yugo furniture sets use.

Brand new condition. Great fitment. Should look great when I stain it to match the rest of my furniture.

I received this upper in a timely fashion, but had to ship it to a friend’s residence, so I didn’t get to open it for about ten days. Once I did I saw they mistakenly sent me a lower guard. I notified them and they sent me the correct item within days. Great customer service.
